Inclusive Support Programme (InSP)
The Inclusive Support Programme (InSP) was created by the Early Childhood Development Agency in February 2022. The InSP ensures in-school support for children requiring medium levels of early intervention support at their preschools.
Highlights
InSP serves children with developmental needs requiring medium level of support, who are between the ages of three to six years old. They receive support across all domains and across all routines and activities.
Every child in InSP receives an Individual Programme Plan which contains goals that the team will support the child in achieving. Using differentiated teaching practices, the Early Interventionists and Early Childhood Educators embed these goals in their activities and routines through co-planning and co-teaching. Allied Health Professionals work in consultation with the team, providing additional specialist support.
InSP is currently available at two My First Skool centres, Blk 248 Kim Keat Link and Blk 406 Woodlands.
If your child is in an EIPIC centre or is on the waitlist for placement in an EIPIC centre, you can approach your SG Enable case officer to assist you in being referred to an InSP centre.
If you have concerns about your child’s development, please have a doctor at a polyclinic refer you to either KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) or National University Hospital (NUH) for an assessment. If suitable, your paediatrician will refer your child to InSP. Alternatively, you may approach your private paediatrician for an assessment and referral.
To ensure that your child’s needs can be supported by the InSP preschool, there will be a screening process after your child is referred.
