Chen Fei Cui uses engaging methods to cultivate a love for the Chinese language in the children.

Chen Fei Cui, an infant care teacher at My First Skool, 51 Fernvale Link, believes that parent-school partnerships help accelerate children’s development. Recognising the fast pace of early childhood milestones, she began recording key developmental achievements to share with parents, which deepened her relationship with them.

She believes that these partnerships empower both parents and educators to better support children’s well-being and development. This strong parent-school partnership, not only equips parents with the skills to support their children’s development but also helps educators tailor their approaches through parental insights. As a Chinese language teacher, she uses engaging methods, such as videos and hand puppets, to inspire a love for Chinese among her young learners.

The impact of her efforts has been remarkable, with visible improvements in the children’s self-help skills and overall development.

Her commitment to open communication and validating parents’ contributions further strengthens this collaborative approach, ultimately benefiting the children’s growth and fostering a holistic learning environment. Her efforts have also earned her a nomination for the 2023 ECDA Awards for Outstanding Early Years Educator.
