Abstract:
Since 2013, NTUC First Campus (NFC) embarked on a research project to create a curriculum for children aged birth to three. Many more parents needed childcare services at an earlier age and the organisation was not satisfied with the state of practice, including that of their own. NFC understands that a child’s brain develops rapidly during this phase and is a “magic window” to build the foundations of learning and to develop cognitive and socio-emotional skills to help them succeed. Led by Professor Marjory Ebbeck, NFC’s senior academic advisor, the organisation created the Relationships-Based Curriculum (RBC) for children aged birth to three. This exemplifies the pioneering spirit that defines NFC’s DNA as a social enterprise. This document outlines the organisation’s philosophy on Child Development and advocates a framework for raising a Happy Child.

Children’s Knowledge and Attitudes towards Environmental Sustainability
NFC aims to become a leading example of a Sustainable Early Childhood organisation by 2025, encouraging staff, children, and their families to champion sustainability.
